Join Unrest Magazine (www.unrestmag.com) and The School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution for a spirited debate on the future of the Occupy Movement and the American Left. Occupy Wall Street and the growth of the Occupy Movement have launched the issue inequality back into the political spotlight. The action taken on behalf of the 99% has reinvigorated populist politics in the U.S. and is poised to exert its influence in the upcoming 2012 presidential election. As the Occupants regroup and the movement braces for winter, we ask what Occupy means for the Left and what preparations should be made for the American Spring.
Participants have been invited to speak on behalf of themselves as it relates to their experiences and/or expertise. None are considered to speak for the Occupy Movement as a whole. List of participants to follow shortly.
The event is free and open to the public. All are encouraged to attend and participate.
