Summer Detention is a reading and discussion group designed to foster critical conversations at the boundaries of peace and conflict research. SCAR students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to attend.

***August Detentions have been cancelled due to Comprehensive Exams. We will however return in the fall with a lunch program on Costas Douzinas and Slavoj Zizek's "The Idea of Communism." Hope you can rejoin us then.

Those interested but unable to attend the first meeting please let us know as the location may change

Our only requirement is that participants come prepared for a discussion, which means you should try reading as much of the text as you find interesting for the given week.
