The discussion will evaluate the trade and development arrangements driving the peace and security of East Asian countries and whether these economic dynamics are strong and resilient enough to withstand more negative political and military dynamics over the Diaoyutai/Senkaku Island dispute and other conflicts. This discussion will also consider the adequacy of Asia Pacific regional and sub-regional security architectures in relation to conflict prevention and the sustenance of stable peace and whether the new US "pivot" towards Asia is helpful to this end.
This event is organized by S-CAR's Southeast Asia initiative team. Should you have any question with regard to this event, please get in contact with Ms. Nhina Le at [email protected]
