This brown bag lunch featuring Dr. Arthur Romano will explore the relevance of peace education in a world of increasing global complexity. It asks: How can education respond to the pressing global challenges of today? What are the values, vision and practices that can be drawn upon to prepare students and teachers to engage in compassionate action instead of brutality? What is the role of technology in promoting collaboration and developing new educational forms? What subjects are most important and how should they be taught?
In all this talk seeks to engage the GMU community in a discussion about the possibilites for educational that is responsive to the challenges of opportunities teaching and learning in a global world.
