Course Description
CONF 795 Refugee and IDP Issue Analysis, is a professional development intensive course aimed to advance students’ skills in researching, analyzing and synthesizing issues of refugees and the internally displaced persons (IDPs). Students learn to develop a research methodology to investigate IDP communities, analyze challenges of refugees and the IDPs in the context of theories of Conflict Analysis and Resolution, develop policy recommendations and propose international/national reforms. These skills are prerequisite for community building, societal reform, and policy making in divided and displaced societies across the globe.
