Attention PhD Candidates: If finishing your Dissertation or any part of it is one of your new year’s resolutions then give yourself the gift of this FREE Writing Intensive.
S-CAR and GMU’s University Life have agreed to fund this One-Week writing intensive to make sure you move forward. Major universities (Cornell, the University of Pennsylvania, and others) offer their PhDs similar intensives. They know even the most dedicated students need structure and support.
February 15-19th, we will meet 9:30-5:30 at S-CAR’s beautiful, just re-opened Point of View property in Lorton, VA. If you need a ride we can work out carpooling.
The days will be structured based on Cornell’s model:
· 40 minutes together working in the am,
· 2 hours of writing,
· lunch,
· 2 hours of writing and
· then a closing session.
You will state your goals at the beginning of the seminar and at the start and close of each day.
Those working on proposals will work together and those working on dissertations will pair up.
You will be amazed how much you will complete in a week with the support of others, dedicated writing time and feedback.
