Do you remember how Dorothy meets Glinda in the Wizard of Oz? After Dorothy kills the Wicked Witch of the East with her house, Glinda the Witch of the North appears in a bubble. What kind of story would it be if Glinda had told Dorothy right away that to get home all she had to do was click her heels together three times and repeat "there's no place like home"? Dorothy would not have gone on her journey, a journey that taught her about truth, love, courage, and beauty as well as frailty, fraud and evil. Glinda told Dorothy that to get where you needed to go on any journey it was always best to start at the beginning-to follow the yellow brick road. Her words guided Dorothy on her journey. Glinda saved Dorothy from a dilemma she could not manage, listened to her as she articulated the lessons she had learned on her journey and helped her get home.
