Three historians held a discussion on race and the role it played leading up to and during the Civil War and how the persistence of resentment and unhealed wounds from the war's outcome and immediate aftermath have impacted racial issues ever since.Donald Shriver added remarks on the ethical implications of the discussion. Congressional Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton was a special guest speaker.Topics included future possibilities of reconciliations.The panelists also responded to questions from members of the audience.
