Gul Mescioglu Gur
Gul Mescioglu Gur is a PhD candidate at the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (SCAR). She is interested in history, memory, social identity, global conflicts, program/project evaluation, and youth capacity building. She is writing her dissertation on the Greek- Orthodox Minorities of Istanbul and Turkish-Muslim Population of Western Thrace in relation with historical traumas, identity and policy. She is teaching courses for CAR undergraduate students at George Mason University. She previously worked at several NGOs in Washington DC (Institute for Economic and Peace, Search for Common Grounds, Partners for Democratic Change) and in Turkey (Economic and Development Foundation, EU Information Office, TUSIAD).
