Col. Ellen Haring,
Visionary of Courage
Col. Ellen Haring is an S-CAR PhD student, serving in the United States Army. We honor Ellen's courage for participating in the class action lawsuit against the Pentagon's ban of women in combat, which was lifted in January 2013.
Dr. Pushpa Iyer,
Visionary Scholar
Dr. Pushpa Iyer is an S-CAR doctoral alum who currently teaches as an assistant professor at Monterey Institute of International Studies. We honor Dr. Iyer's scholarship for her creative practice and commitment to foster discourse on gender and conflict.
Sahar Namazikha,
Visionary Peacemaker
Sahar Namazikha is an S-CAR PhD student and feminist journalist who has committed her writing to peace in Iran. We honor her visionary efforts in promoting sustainable peace.
