Former Senator Mitchell (D- Maine) is renowned for his international peace-building efforts in Northern Ireland (architect of the Good Friday Agreement, Special Envoy to Northern Ireland) and in the Middle East (Special Envoy to the Middle East, the “Mitchell Reports”). He has also been influential in domestic issues, leading national drug-abuse investigations for the Commission of Major League Baseball and as the sanctions monitor of Penn State’s sex abuse case. Currently co-chair of the Housing Commission for the Bipartisan Policy Center, he is a former Chancellor of Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, former chairman of Walt Disney and current Chair Emeritus and former chairman of the international law firm LDP Piper.

This event celebrates the history and the vision of a new ‘Point of View’.
