Come for a discussion with Rana Al Shiekh Ali an intern at the Center for Peacemaking Practice. The director of programs in Souriat Radio which is the first Syrian radio station to specialize in women’s rights issues. She has volunteered with the Syrian Women Forum for Peace, and served as a member of the team that prepared a report that highlighted the various issues that Syrian women faced during the Syrian crisis to the UN’s Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). She plans to pursue a master’s degree in peacebuilding after the program. For her internship, Rana hopes to increase her knowledge on peacebuilding and conflict resolution.
