The Information Affairs Authority today reiterated resolve to continue efforts to enhance the competence of its personnel and promote their media skills.
IAA President Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa made the comments as he visited a media workshop at the Diplomat Radisson Blu Hotel, Residence and Spa.
The IAA coordinated the training with the UNDP under the slogan: "National Reconciliation ..the Best of all practices".
IAA directors, department chiefs and journalists attended the intensive workshop.
The IAA has lined up the workshop among a series of training courses as the code of audio-visual deontology takes effect.
Shaikh Fawaz lauded the IAA personnel for their commitment to promote official media, paying tribute to the wise leadership for its support.
Dr. Alma Abdul-hadi Jadallah and Dr. Roohi Afghani, from the UNDP, delivered lectures spotlighting the best practices for promoting national reconciliation.
The lecturers and participants discussed ways of exchanging values and ideas between all components of the Bahraini society towards promoting national reconciliation and civil dialogue.
They stressed the importance of tolerance, understanding, equality and mutual respect between all Bahrainis.
