S-CAR's Annual Spring Celebration of Achievements!
Thursday, May 4, 2017
5:30 PM to 8:30 PM
Metropolitan Building 5th Floor
Please join us for a night of celebrating the SCAR community. The Celebration of Achievements is a chance to showcase your interests and work relating to conflict analysis and resolution. It is a wonderful opportunity for networking and learning what students from all of our programs-Undergraduate, Certificate, Graduate, and Ph.D-are doing to contribute to the field. There will be presentations in different rooms on the 5th floor of the Metropolitan Building. In the past, people have presented their work on theses, internships, and APTs; however, this celebration is not limited to these works. Perhaps you have traveled or written a paper for class or you have done work outside S-CAR about which you feel passionate. Please come share this with others who may have similar interests. You can participate in this event in a number of ways:
1. Create an aesthetically pleasing poster board of your work for people to be able to observe as they walk around the room.
2. Create a self-running presentation of your work that will be projected throughout the night.
3. Present on your topic of interest for 10 minutes and have a subsequent
Q & A session for 5 minutes. *Note: There are limited spots available for this type of presentation.
This event is open to both student and faculty presentations.
If you would like to present, or bring materials to showcase at the event, please contact Ashley Joiner at [email protected] by April 28th.
An updated agenda of the presentations will be sent out after the deadline.
