Public Safety Wireless Opportunities

At the end of March 2006, Stage 2 of Wave 1 was in negotiation and much of Stage 1 in mediation or on appeal. Waves 2 (including Tennessee), 3 (including the Carolinas and Georgia) and 4 remained in Stage 1, trying to reach agreements with Nextel on evacuating the so-called Lower 120 channels (806-809 MHz) to prepare for eventual Stage 2 occupancy by NPSPAC channels.
