Aziz Abu Sarah joins Dr. Mustafa Barghouti and Randa Hudome on a panel moderated by Nadia Bilbassy-Charters and Chaired by Tania Hary at JStreet's 2012 Annual Conference in Washington DC entitled Making History.
Abu Sarah shares the story of his own transformation and credits the people gathered with making it possible for other people to transform towards peace. Abu Sarah describes how the occupation damages Israel by redirecting resources for development in Israel to the settlements. Peace, in his view, will benefit all of the people in Israel and Palestine.
Abu Sarah commends the unity and latest strategies of Palestinians, citing the UN bid and commitment to non-violence. He calls for more non-violent actions with greater participation and calls upon J Street to support and participate in this.
