B.A., Anthropology, 1982, Yale College, Magna cum laude with distinction in Anthropology.
You are cordially invited to join the UELP (Undergraduate Experiential Learning Project) team on December 5th, 2012 at 2 pm (immediately following the faculty board meeting) for a reception with a discussion and skill-share on implementing Experiential Learning at S-CAR.
Are you interested in exploring ways to connect theory and practice in your classroom? Do you want to increase student learning with innovative classroom-based practice? Have you implemented Experiential Learning Activities (ELAs) in your classroom before? Are you interested in doing one in the future?
For the past two years, the UELP team has been developing eight different Experiential Learning Activities; from introductory conflict mapping to advanced, multi-day simulations.
At the reception you will:
Network with Instructors who have implemented the ELAs and those who will be doing so next semester.
Gather information on how YOU can use ELAs in your classroom and how we can support you.
· Walk away with a ready-to-implement ELA for use in your classroom.
Refreshments provided.
