Despite generous foreign assistance for reconstruction and peacebuilding, many Liberian peace and community activists believe that the skills and capacity required for effective, community—led and locally owned reconciliation efforts simply do not exist. The need for such skills and capacity remains critically important to sustaining the still fragile peace in Liberia.

Liberia field experience.
