CNCR has initiated a project that explores peace gaming as a process for conflict resolution. Come and develop your skills in gaming by participating, and learning how to run games with parties to conflicts, leaders, and social change activists! These three games, each one developed by a social change leader from the Middle East, will not only provide you with knowledge specific to the conflict explored in the game, but will give you insights into the role that game can play in conflict resolution and peace building, more broadly.
Gaza - A small Palestinian territory, about twice the size of DC, located along the Mediterranean coast between Egypt and Israel. Under siege since 2006, when the Islamist movement Hamas won a US backed election in the Palestinian territories.
In our game: An escalation in violence and an Israeli military operation set the stage.
Come help us achieve a ceasefire by participating in the game "Ceasefire Now!" where you will learn about this conflict from within the roles of the parties on the ground--about the siege in the Gaza strip, the roots of the conflict, the different perspectives and players, and their roles.
