The elections took place against a backdrop of deteriorating security, intensifying insurgency and growing disillusionment of the Afghan public with their government and the U.S and NATO/ISAF forces.
Dr. Agnieszka Paczynska, Director of ICAR Undergraduate Program who observed the Afghan elections in Jalalabad as a member of Democracy International election monitoring team will discuss the elections and the implications of the elections for political stability in Afghanistan.
