This book is not so much a book about Jimmy Carter as it is a book by Jimmy Carter. It is a book of conversations in which Carter, under the prompting and probing of journalists and others, reveals his inner self. It's a book in which Carter tells us who he is and what he stands for. It's a book from which we can learn about Carter from Carter himself.
