The Deputy Chief of Mission from the Pakistani Embassy, Muhammad Aslam Khan, addressed Mason students on Thursday in a panel discussion on the role of the international community in the violent conflict of on-going conflict over Kashmir between India and Pakistan. Organized by the South and South East Asia Working Group of the Institute of Conflict Analysis and Resolution and the Pakistani Students Association at Mason, the list of panelists also included renowned policy-makers on the Kashmir issue, Ambassador John McDonald of the Institute of Multi-Track Diplomacy, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, the executive director of the Kashmiri American Council, and Vijay Sazwal from the Center for Strategic Studies and Frederic Grare, visiting scholar from the Carnegie Endowment for the Arts.
